Dr. Jason Motes

Dr. Motes will serve as a Special Advisor at Civilian Ready, helping the organization strategically connect with transitioning veterans through its cohort-based model and guiding Civilian Ready to become the leading veteran transition readiness program available to the men and women of our military.

Dr. Motes brings extensive experience and knowledge from corporate, military, and academic backgrounds to Civilian Ready. In senior leadership roles at three Fortune 100 companies, he's managed corporate teams ranging from 10 to 800 employees in Operations, Project Management, Sales, and Talent Development. Through his academic research on veteran transition, he facilitated a large-scale quantitative study on the translatability of leadership skills for senior military members and actively peer-reviews journal articles on veteran leadership matters, providing valuable insights into the needs and challenges faced by our nation's military personnel. As a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve, he serves as a Commanding Officer and helped launch a first-of-its-kind leadership coaching program for the Navy's Surface Warfare community.

Dr. Motes has a heart for service. He founded VALiDITEA® to provide leadership assessment, coaching, and development training to teams and organizations of all sizes, with a mission to give back to veteran organizations and the non-profit community. He's a board-certified and credentialed executive leadership coach who enjoys swimming, cycling, rowing, and spending time with his family.
