
Jon Moyer
Strategic Advisor
Brigadier General Jonathan C. Moyer was commissioned in 1995 as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps following graduation from Rutgers University. After completing the Signal Corps Basic Course in 1996, he held several positions with the 30th Signal Battalion, Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks, HI to include Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 390th Signal Company and Assistant S-3 and OIC of the Network Operations Center for the 30th Signal Battalion, 516th Signal Brigade.
After his tour in the Pacific, Brigadier General Moyer transitioned to the Army Reserve with the 1079th Garrison Support Unit, Fort Dix, NJ in September 2001, where he was called to active duty to serve as Mobilization Company Commander, Deputy Director of Information Management, and HHC Company Commander. He then served as the Battalion Executive Officer for the 77th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Dix, NJ. In 2009. He later deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as the Battalion S-3 for the 395th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, whose mission included the direct support of the Iraqi Parliamentary elections and the combat logistics and sustainment of all of northern Iraq. Returning from deployment he returned to support Mobilization efforts as the Demobilization Company Commander and OIC of the Mobilization Unit In-Processing Center, Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst. He was then assigned to Communication and Electronics Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, where he served as Army Reserve Element S-3. He then took command of the 1101st Mobilization Support Battalion, Fort Totten, NY. He then served as Deputy Brigade Commander of 3rd Brigade, 75th Atlantic Training Division. He served as the G-39 Office of the Chief, Army Reserve Liaison Officer to U.S. Cyber Command before taking command of the 151st Theater Information Operations Group, followed by the Chief of Staff of the 353d Civil Affairs Command in Fort Wadsworth. He then served as the Deputy Commanding General, 335th Signal Command (Theater). Most recently he served as the Commanding General of 335th Signal Command (Theater) (Provisional), Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. In his current role, he serves as the Reserve Component, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland.
Brigadier General Moyer’s civilian and military education includes Signal Corps Basic and Advanced Officer Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College (Intermediate Level Education and Advanced Operations Course), Information Operations (FA30) Qualification Course, Joint Combined Warfighting Course, U.S Army War College, and the Senior Leader Service School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
In his civilian capacity, Jon was the former Director of Business Development for Mission Solutions, Stanford Research Institute (SRI), International in Princeton, NJ. He now serves as strategic advisor for Civilian Ready Foundation, Inc. Jon resides with his wife Magali in Medford, NJ. Magali is a Flight Attendant for United Airlines, in Newark, NJ. Jon and Maggie enjoy tennis, hiking, travel, and playing music together.
